Central Asia is a vast region that includes the countries of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan. Most of the region was a part of the Soviet Union until 1991. It accounts for about half a billion of the world’s population, yet in some Central Asian countries less than 0.01% know the Lord Jesus. Uniting these countries is their Muslim commonality; they are run by post-communist regimes. For the most part, their peoples prefer a more pragmatic folk Islam.
Please pray for the salvation of vast numbers of souls as workers strive to faithfully point people to Jesus Christ.
