Is God Stirring Your Heart to Go?

Mission is God's invitation to join Him in what He’s doing in the world - sharing the good news, making disciples, and loving people across every culture and place. He calls ordinary people - like you - to join Him in this work. You don't need to have it all figured out. You just need a willing heart.

GO FOR 2 - 4 WEEKS

Ready for an opportunity that could change your life? Our 2–4 week programs take you to the ends of the earth to serve alongside field workers, using evangelism and discipleship strategies. You will start to learn a new language and culture, grow in your understanding of God’s call on your life, and of the needs among unreached peoples and places.

Venture

GO FOR 1 - 12 MONTHS

Spend up to a year with an international team being mentored by missionaries. See for yourself what missions is like and how God can use you among the unreached.

Is Venture for me?

You’re considering missions, but you’re not entirely sure what it would look like. You’re passionate about the gospel but not clear on where you’d like to serve. If that sounds like you, Pioneers may have a good fit. Venture offers opportunities to serve for up to a year in one of our 400+ teams in over 100 countries.

What is the process like?

While each journey may be different joining Pioneers involves a few predictable steps, like an application, discernment process, orientation, training and fundraising.

Because a Venture trip is longer than a typical mission trip, it makes a good next step for those not ready for the one-way ticket. Then, after you go for a few months or as long as a year, you’ll be better equipped to make decisions and pursue the life of a long-term missionary among the unreached. You can expect to experience the following:

- Spend up to 12 months serving with and learning from an international team.

- Be mentored by long-term missionaries.

- See and experience for yourself what long-term missions can be like.

- Explore how God can use your skills and passions among the unreached.

What does it mean to be a Pioneer?

Being a Pioneer isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about being willing to go, trusting God into places where few have gone before.

At Pioneers Australia, we believe mission starts with ordinary people saying yes to an extraordinary God. It’s about crossing cultures, crossing streets, sometimes crossing oceans, to live and share the hope we’ve found in Jesus.

It’s tough work. There are no shortcuts. But it’s also full of moments where God shows up, sometimes in ways we’d never expect. Being a Pioneer means stepping out, digging deep, and trusting that when we plant seeds of the gospel, God brings the growth.

Where Will You Fit in His Story?

Whether it's planting churches, discipling new believers, or simply living life among those who have never heard, there is a place for you. Mission is not a one-size-fits-all calling. God uses all kinds of people with different gifts, skills, and backgrounds to make Himself known.

Some serve in bustling cities, others in remote outback communities. Some focus on healthcare, education, or business as mission. Others bring the Gospel through hospitality, language learning, or simply being present in the lives of those who have yet to hear of Jesus.
