God’s people have endured suffering over many centuries: Moses, David, all the prophets, Jesus’ disciples, the Apostle Paul, famous preachers, famous missionaries and, perhaps more tellingly, unsung heroes. The ruler of this age is aggressively at work to bring pressure on Christians. Jesus’ model as the Suffering Servant and the deep desire of missionaries to absorb an extra share of suffering attests to the cost of reaching unreached peoples.
Let’s pray for the safety and wellbeing of Pioneers missionaries wherever they are in the world. In light of what the Lord Jesus has done, this prayer includes that they will serve with joy even in the most trying circumstances. Let’s ask the Lord to make them a blessing to those precious unreached peoples they serve with the gospel.
