Join us in praying for our 2021 PLANS
Planning for 2021/22 and pursuing koinonia…
We sense that God has provided a sacred moment for us to reflect on the global reality of inequity and racial injustice. There is a longing to see an unhurried exploration of where we can grow in reflecting God’s majesty and the power of the gospel as we live out unity in diversity.
While there is no equivalent English word for koinonia, we see that Scripture captures a whole spectrum of meanings which embody our rich relationship as fellow believers. Amongst other things, it expresses generosity, identifies with Christ’s sufferings and is seen as the glue which connects us to God and to each other through Christ. Scripture beautifully tells us that living our koinonia is akin to “walking in the light”: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another” (1 John 3: 7).
Please pray for a working group now formed to listen patiently, reflect biblically, and recommend tangible action steps for pursuing deeper koinonia throughout Pioneers as we seek to reach the nations.
