OARF Projects

In the face of constant change, effectively increasing impact and achieving major goals, requires relentless innovation. Proactively generating and executing new ideas that add value helps us quickly respond to new challenges by developing human and technological resources to do things differently. As Pioneers contributes to community development initiatives around the world – thus maximising tax-deductible donations – our members work closely with their host communities to meet pressing, tangible needs.
Community development is a process whereby community members are supported by agencies to identify and take collective action on relevant issues important to them. These endeavours empower community members and create stronger, more connected societies. To this end, our OARF project coordinators, motivated by the love of Jesus, serve in practical ways as they love their neighbours as they love themselves.
Pioneers members currently oversee 19 projects in 12 countries. We work with each coordinator to ensure all partners involved in the projects act in accordance with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) External Conduct Standards. And, in keeping with our penchant for innovation and flexibility, we adjust our practices based on current guidelines and feedback based on our experiences to ensure compliance and best practice.
Our projects include…
- health initiatives in South East Asia, South America and the Pacific
- clean water engineering in Island South East Asia
- radio communications and literacy in Africa, South America and Island South East Asia
- prisoner restoration in the Pacific
- schools, sports and education in Island South East Asia and Africa
Three new project proposals have been assessed and endorsed by Pioneers…
- an early learning centre in Island South East Asia
- medical development off the east coast of Africa
- the provision of sustainable power for a hospital in Africa
Innovative practices in community development help us connect with people in ways that add lasting value in keeping with the UN Sustainable Development Goals as followers of Jesus Christ who care deeply about end users.
We are very grateful to our members who empathise with those in need, embrace creativity, think outside the box, overcome constraint and go the extra mile to provide legitimate services, operate within strict parameters and comply with rigorous reporting requirements. And we give thanks to God for many donors who assist by giving sacrificially to these and other initiatives.
