East Asia is a region of contrast—where ancient traditions meet cutting-edge technology, and where rapid economic growth often masks deep spiritual hunger. From vast open landscapes to bustling megacities, millions live without ever hearing the name of Jesus. Many follow long-standing religious customs, ancestor worship, or state ideologies, leaving little room for the hope found in Christ.
In some nations, the gospel is met with indifference; in others, it is actively opposed. Some communities are bound by strict traditions, where following Jesus means facing isolation or persecution. In places where spiritual hunger is growing, societal pressures and material success create barriers that keep people from seeking deeper truth. Meanwhile, entire ethnic groups remain unreached, scattered in remote regions or hidden within urban centers, waiting for someone to share the Good News.
Yet, God is at work. Underground churches are growing in places of great opposition. New believers are stepping out in faith despite the cost. The Holy Spirit is stirring hearts, revealing Jesus through dreams and divine encounters. There is hope for transformation in East Asia, but the need remains great.
East Asia is a land of beauty, resilience, and deep spiritual longing. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the hope of Jesus to those still waiting?
Europe is a land rich in history, culture, and influence. Once the heart of Christianity, home to great revivals and missionary movements, it is now one of the most spiritually resistant regions in the world. Grand cathedrals stand empty, faith is often dismissed as irrelevant, and many identify as secular or spiritually apathetic. While some still follow religious traditions, for many, Christianity is seen as part of the past rather than a living faith.
Yet beneath the surface, a quiet longing remains. A growing number of people are searching for purpose beyond material success. Postmodern worldviews have left many disillusioned, and new generations are questioning the emptiness of a life without God. Among the region’s diverse ethnic communities, millions have never heard the gospel in a way that makes sense to them. From urban centers to rural villages, opportunities to share Jesus abound—but the laborers are few.
At the same time, God is moving. Small but faithful churches are shining as lights in spiritually dark places. Believers are stepping out with courage, sharing the hope of Christ in workplaces, universities, and homes. There is openness among immigrants and refugees who have never encountered the gospel before. The fields may seem hard, but the harvest is ready.
Europe may seem spiritually cold, but God has not forgotten it. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you be part of seeing this continent reawakened to the gospel?
Southeast Asia is a region of breathtaking beauty and immense diversity. From remote mountain villages to sprawling megacities, this region is home to hundreds of ethnic groups, each with its own language, culture, and traditions. While some countries have a strong Christian presence, many remain spiritually unreached, bound by centuries-old religious practices, animism, or secular ideologies.
Buddhism, Islam, and ancestral worship shape the beliefs of millions, leaving little room for the message of salvation through Jesus. In some nations, believers face persecution, ostracized from their families and communities for choosing to follow Christ. Others remain spiritually apathetic, focused on material success or daily survival. Entire people groups live without access to a Bible, a church, or a single Christian witness. The need for workers is urgent.
Yet, God is at work in Southeast Asia. House churches are multiplying in places where faith is costly. New believers are stepping out in courage, sharing the gospel despite opposition. In some regions, the hunger for truth is growing, with people encountering Jesus through dreams, miracles, and personal testimonies. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Southeast Asia is a region of great spiritual need but also great opportunity. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the message of Jesus to those who have never heard?
Mid-Asia is a land of rugged mountains, vast deserts, and ancient cities rich with history. It is home to a diverse mix of ethnic groups, cultures, and languages, shaped by centuries of tradition, empire, and faith. While some parts of the region have historical ties to Christianity, many areas remain deeply resistant to the gospel, with entire people groups living and dying without ever hearing the name of Jesus.
Islam, secularism, and state control dominate much of the spiritual landscape. In some nations, Christians face intense persecution, risking imprisonment or even death for their faith. In others, religious traditions are deeply woven into cultural identity, making it costly for someone to choose Christ. While churches exist in certain areas, they are often small, underground, or heavily monitored. Yet, despite these barriers, God is moving.
Stories are emerging of people encountering Jesus through dreams and visions. In secret gatherings, new believers are discipled and equipped to share their faith. The underground church is growing in unexpected places, as the Holy Spirit stirs hearts and draws people to Himself. But the need for laborers remains urgent—there are still countless people in this region who have never had the opportunity to hear the gospel.
Mid-Asia is a land of challenge, but also of incredible opportunity. God is not finished with this region. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the hope of Jesus to those who have yet to hear?
The Middle East is a region of deep history, where ancient civilizations rose and fell, and where faith traditions have shaped the course of human history. It is the birthplace of Christianity, yet today, it remains one of the most spiritually resistant areas in the world. The vast majority of people follow Islam, with religious identity deeply tied to culture, family, and national identity. Choosing to follow Jesus often comes at great personal cost—rejection, persecution, imprisonment, or even death.
In some nations, churches exist but are closely monitored and restricted. In others, Christianity is virtually underground, with believers meeting in secret, risking everything to worship and share their faith. Millions live without access to a church, a Bible, or a Christian witness. Yet, in the face of opposition, God is at work.
More and more people across the Middle East are encountering Jesus in miraculous ways—through dreams, visions, and divine encounters. Underground house churches are growing, and the hunger for truth is rising, even in places where the gospel has been suppressed for generations. The Holy Spirit is moving, but the need for workers remains urgent. There are still entire people groups who have never heard the message of salvation.
The Middle East is a land of deep spiritual need but also of great promise. God is stirring hearts, and the gospel is advancing despite opposition. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you be part of bringing the hope of Jesus to this region?
North Africa is a region made up of vast deserts, rugged mountains, and ancient cities. It is a region rich in history, where great empires once flourished and trade routes connected civilizations. Today, it remains one of the most spiritually closed areas in the world, where Islam is deeply woven into culture, identity, and daily life. For most, following Jesus is not just a religious decision—it is seen as a betrayal of family, community, and heritage.
Christianity is often suppressed, and in some places, churches are almost non-existent. Many believers must practice their faith in secret, fearing rejection, persecution, or even violence. Despite these challenges, God is moving. Stories are emerging of people encountering Jesus through dreams and visions. Small underground churches are growing, and bold believers are sharing their faith despite the risks.
Entire people groups remain unreached, with little access to the gospel. Many have never met a Christian or heard the name of Jesus in a way they can understand. The need for workers is urgent—those willing to live among the people, build relationships, and share the love of Christ in a place where faith comes at a cost.
North Africa is a place of great spiritual need but also great promise. The gospel is advancing, and lives are being changed. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the message of Jesus to those who have never heard?
The Americas stretch from the frozen landscapes of the north to the tropical shores of the south, encompassing a rich diversity of cultures, histories, and traditions. Many parts of this region have deep Christian roots, with churches on every corner and faith woven into the fabric of society. Yet, beneath the surface, spiritual need remains vast.
In some countries, a growing secularism is leading people away from faith, leaving churches empty and communities searching for meaning outside of God. In others, false teachings, syncretism, and cultural Christianity have distorted the true gospel. Meanwhile, in remote indigenous communities, large urban centers, and isolated islands, millions remain unreached—living without access to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Poverty, violence, corruption, and political instability have left many searching for hope. Drug cartels and gang violence grip entire regions, while others are caught in cycles of materialism and spiritual complacency. But even in the midst of these challenges, God is at work. Revival is stirring in unexpected places, house churches are growing, and people are hungry for something more than what the world offers. The harvest is plentiful, but the need for faithful workers remains.
The Americas are a land of great opportunity for the gospel, but the work is not finished. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the hope of Jesus to those still waiting to hear?
Oceania is a vast and stunning region, home to thousands of islands, diverse cultures, and deep traditions. Many countries in this region identify as Christian, yet beneath the surface, large pockets of people remain unreached. Across the remote islands of the Pacific, in hidden tribal communities, and even in secularized cities, entire groups still live without access to the gospel.
In Papua New Guinea, where over 800 languages are spoken, many tribes still have no Scripture in their heart language, and some have never heard the name of Jesus. In the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, certain island communities remain isolated, following ancestral beliefs and spirit worship. Even in nations like Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga—where Christianity is widespread—there are ethnic groups and communities where cultural traditions have blended with faith, obscuring the true gospel message.
Meanwhile, in Australia and New Zealand, large unreached groups exist among Indigenous peoples and migrant communities. Many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups still lack strong gospel witness, and in the cities, growing immigrant populations from South Asia, the Middle East, and East Asia bring new mission fields right to the doorstep of the Church. Secularism is also rising rapidly, leaving entire generations disconnected from faith.
Despite these challenges, God is moving. Bible translation efforts continue to bring the Word of God to those in remote villages. Small groups of believers are working faithfully to reach isolated communities. In urban centers, ministries are emerging to engage migrants and Indigenous groups with the love of Christ. But the task remains unfinished, and the need for workers is great.
Oceania is a region of breathtaking beauty, yet many still live without the hope of Christ. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the gospel to the last remaining unreached peoples of this region?
South Asia is a land of ancient traditions, vibrant cultures, and deep spiritual devotion. Home to over a quarter of the world’s population, it is one of the most densely populated and religiously diverse regions on earth. While many in this region are deeply spiritual, most follow Hinduism, Islam, or Buddhism, leaving entire communities unreached by the gospel.
The need in South Asia is overwhelming—out of approximately 3,806 distinct people groups, around 3,442 (90%) are considered unreached. That means over 1.8 billion people in this region have little or no access to the message of Jesus Christ. This area contains the highest concentration of unreached people groups in the world, with thousands of communities who have never heard the gospel in a meaningful way.
For many, faith is inseparable from cultural and family identity. Choosing to follow Jesus often leads to rejection, persecution, or even violence. In some areas, believers must worship in secret, facing intense pressure from their communities. In others, strict laws prevent the spread of the gospel, making it nearly impossible for people to openly seek Christ. Entire people groups have never met a Christian, never held a Bible, and never heard the message of salvation.
Yet, despite these challenges, God is at work. House churches are multiplying in unexpected places. Miraculous healings, dreams, and visions are leading people to Jesus. Bold believers are risking everything to share the gospel with their neighbors. The harvest is ready, but the need for workers remains urgent.
South Asia is a land of deep spiritual longing but also great resistance to the gospel. The doors are difficult, but they are not closed. The harvest is waiting, but the workers are few. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the hope of Jesus to those still waiting to hear?
Sub-Saharan Africa is a region of immense beauty, cultural richness, and spiritual vibrancy. Christianity has taken deep root in many areas, and the Church is growing rapidly. However, beneath this growth lies a great challenge—millions remain unreached, with entire people groups still waiting to hear the gospel.
This region is home to over 2,600 distinct people groups, and despite the spread of Christianity, around 1,650 of them remain unreached. Many live in remote villages, cut off from the message of Jesus. Others are in areas dominated by Islam or traditional African religions, where conversion to Christianity is met with resistance, persecution, or even violence. Some countries are experiencing revival, while others are spiritually stagnant or restricted, making gospel access difficult.
In rural communities, animistic beliefs and ancestral worship remain strong, blending with Christianity and distorting the true message of salvation. In cities, rapid urbanization and economic struggles are leading to increasing secularism, while extremist groups in certain regions actively oppose the spread of the gospel. Across the region, millions still live and die without ever meeting a believer or hearing the Good News.
Yet, God is moving. Small churches are being planted in remote areas. Bold evangelists are crossing borders to reach their own people. Bible translation efforts are bringing Scripture into local languages, and signs and wonders are drawing people to Christ. The opportunities to reach the unreached are vast, but the workers are still too few.
Sub-Saharan Africa is a land of both great spiritual hunger and great gospel opportunity. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you help bring the light of Christ to those who have never heard?
As the world becomes more connected, new strategies are emerging to reach the billions who have never heard the gospel. While traditional mission efforts focus on specific locations, cross-regional teams are using innovative approaches to reach people across language groups, cultures, and borders. These teams work beyond geographical limitations, serving the unreached through media, orality, technology, translation, and strategic projects that equip believers to spread the gospel in their heart language.
From digital evangelism and online discipleship to oral Bible storytelling for non-literate communities, these efforts are breaking through cultural and linguistic barriers. Some are developing media strategies that can be adapted across multiple regions. Others are working to train indigenous leaders, equipping them to multiply disciples and plant churches in their own cultural contexts. Many serve in support roles, using their administrative, logistical, and technical skills to strengthen missions efforts that span entire regions.
Yet, the need remains great. Millions are still without access to the gospel in a way they can understand. Many language groups lack Scripture in oral, visual, or digital formats, leaving entire communities disconnected from the Word of God. Technology, security, and communication barriers continue to limit the reach of gospel efforts. The challenge is vast, but the opportunities for impact are even greater. The mission field is bigger than borders. From the most remote oral cultures to the most technologically advanced societies, God is calling His people to bring the gospel across regions, languages, and generations. Will you pray? Will you go? Will you be part of seeing the nations reached?
Today, there are more than 7,000 people groups around our world with little or no access to the gospel. Some have no Bible or other Christians to explain in their language who Jesus is. Many of these peoples live in North Africa, the Horn of Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, West Asia, Northern India and parts of East Asia. Hear what Mike, a long-serving missionary to the East Islands, has to say about these ‘forgotten peoples’.
