ACROSS Radio – South Sudan

This is a Tax Deductible OARF project

ACROSS, a long-standing NGO, serves South Sudanese refugees in northwest Uganda through a holistic program that strengthens education, child protection, youth development, and community engagement. Our initiatives include mother tongue literacy classes, child protection awareness via community radios, youth sports tournaments, life skills training, and audio media outreach using solar-powered mini-speakers. Together, these efforts bring hope and practical support to thousands of refugees living in challenging conditions.

Impact: In 2025 alone, we trained 18 literacy teachers for nine learning centres, reaching 225 adult learners. Over 8,000 refugees heard child protection messages through community radios, reducing abuse and improving parenting. Sports tournaments engaged 700 youth and fostered peace and social cohesion. Life skills training equipped 84 young people to make better choices, while 150 mini speakers delivered health and education to homes and churches. These combined efforts are transforming lives—building resilience, reducing harm, and creating stronger communities.

Invitation: Your support helps us expand these life-changing programs to reach more refugees with education, protection, and hope. Together, we can impact thousands more families. Give today and help refugees build a brighter future.

Pioneers Australia relies on the Lord’s provision through the freewill gifts of His people, to whom we communicate specific financial needs. All donations received and accepted by Pioneers Australia are designated as Mission Funds. While donors may indicate a preference for their gift to support a particular worker or project, the final decision regarding its use rests with Pioneers Australia. Each designated gift will be applied as restricted funds; however, if the intended purpose has been fulfilled or cannot be completed, Pioneers Australia reserves the right to redirect the remaining funds to areas of greatest need.
