Are donations to Pioneers Australia tax-deductible?

Donations to Pioneers Australia are not tax-deductible as we focus on gospel ministry rather than charitable activities that meet the Australian government’s criteria for tax-deductibility. Every dollar you give directly supports mission work among the least reached, making an eternal impact. We do have a tax-deductible fund**

Pioneers has a registered fund, primarily focusing on overseas community developmental work, such as vocational training, healthcare, education, and assisting with other practical needs. Donations for these projects and for workers involved in these projects can be tax-deductible. Need more information, contact us.

 

Can I set up a recurring donation?

Yes! You can commit to giving fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or yearly to provide consistent support for a mission worker or project. Regular giving helps sustain long-term mission work and allows for more effective planning. You can update or cancel your recurring donation at any time via the Donor portal or by contacting our office.

 

Whom should I support?

If you are unsure of which Pioneers project or worker to support, you may donate to Pioneers in general and we will direct your donation to areas of greatest need. OR please contact us for recommendations. We will direct your donation to areas of greatest need.

 

Is any fee deducted from my donations before they reach the worker or project?

Generally, 12% of each donation is set aside as a contribution to the Mission. This percentage may be lower for some projects. This fee helps cover administration expenses, support strategic Pioneers international initiatives, provide training and other services for workers, and ensure ongoing legal and compliance activities are maintained.

 

Is my payment information secure?

Absolutely. We use trusted, encrypted payment processors to ensure that your details are kept secure. Your information will never be shared, and we follow Australian privacy laws and best practices to protect your data.

 

Can I give in other ways (bank transfer, bequest, corporate giving, etc.)?

Yes! Besides online giving via credit card and direct debit, you can support Pioneers Australia through direct bank transfers, workplace giving, corporate partnerships, or leaving a bequest in your will. To learn more, visit our Ways to Give page or contact us.

 

How do I change my payment details, i.e. expired credit card/change in bank details etc.

You can update your payment details via the donor portal or contact the Pioneers office, provide your details and we can update our records.

 

Can I receive donations from other countries?

Yes! Please let us know if you have supporters in other countries. We may be able to connect them with local Pioneers bases, making it easier and more convenient for them to pass on their donations.

 

Do I stop giving when Pioneers workers conclude field ministry?

You will be notified regarding ceasing financial support.
