Pioneers exists to mentor and mobilise this generation to passionately follow Jesus, and discover their role in God’s mission to the unreached. If you are wondering whether Jesus wants you to dedicate your life to reaching the lost, our Immerse program in South Asia might be for you. During the Immerse program, you will serve alongside field workers, using evangelism and discipleship strategies that can lead to churches starting among unreached peoples. You will start to learn a new language and culture, and grow in your understanding of God’s call on your life, and of the needs among unreached peoples and places. Depending on the time of year and specific ministry location, you may also experience high or low temperatures (up to 35°C or down to 0°C). I’m not exactly a mountaineering expert – can I still come? Yes! You won’t be doing advanced or particularly risky climbing during the Immerse trip. What if I can’t make the dates of the upcoming trips? If your church or campus group would like to send a team at another time, please contact us at [email protected] Do I have to organise accommodation and transportation myself? No, all accommodation and transportation during the Immerse trip will be arranged for you. However, you will be arranging your own flights to and from South Asia. What visa will I need to apply for? Visitors from many countries (including USA and Australia) may apply for a Tourist Visa on arrival, valid for 90 days. I’m not really interested in missions or unreached people groups, but I enjoy travel. Should I come on this trip? No. This trip is for those who have a heart for serving God (short- or long-term) through reaching unreached people groups. Will I see the Himalayas? Maybe. Depending on the weather conditions and ministry location, the Himalayas may or may not be visible.
