Overseas Aid & Relief Projects

‘Glorifying God’ has many facets—not least, the advancement of individuals and communities to live in just and equitable societies; living in peace and harmony with God, and with one another.

To this end many Pioneers workers are involved in aid and development work through Pioneers OARF projects that reflect an acknowledgement and understanding of the UN Millennium Goals through a Christian faith perspective. These projects work with communities, seeking to improve conditions in a sustainable way and redressing inequalities by promoting fairer and impartial systems of services, often for the least privileged and marginalised members of that society*.

*Financial support of projects is channelled through an approved fund in accordance with a properly documented set of fund rules. This fund was granted tax-deductible status effective as of 3 August 1988. With the name change to Pioneers Ministries Foundation (PMF), Deductible Gift Recipient status was reaffirmed by the ATO on 1 July 2001. Governance of OARF is provided for by the Board of PMF who delegates operation and management of the fund to a six person committee made up from co-opted individuals and Pioneers national office staff.
